Rejecting God’s design and authority leads individuals, families, societies, and churches into spiritual and moral ruin, while grateful submission to His will produces true flourishing. Christ died on behalf of sinners as God’s appointed sacrifice and propitiation, though His substitutionary death must be understood according to the full testimony of Scripture rather than through the extremes of Calvinism. The hope and assurance of salvation guard the Christian’s mind against doubt, fear, and spiritual attacks while strengthening faithful service to Christ.
