The mission of Family Promise of Knoxville is to provide a community-based response that empowers and equips families experiencing homelessness and housing-instability to achieve sustainable independence. They are able to do this through an interfaith network of congregations that serves homeless families within the walls of places of worship, provides a safe place for children and their families to sleep, and is driven by lay volunteers.
