Social Concerns Committee Support

The Social Concerns Committee assesses the needs of people in both the parish and the community and devises programs to address those needs. Special attention is given to the poor, the homeless, and the elderly. All parishioners are enlisted to help with special activities such as donating gifts on St. Nicholas Day, collecting food for baskets on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and distributing flowers to the homebound on holidays. Continued support is encouraged for on-going parish projects including the food barrel, the poor box, assistance to migrants, shelter for the homeless, and various collections for emergency relief.
