Sarasota High School FCA Huddle

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an international ministry with a presence in over 100 countries.

They are also the leading Christian ministry that has groups that gather in American public schools.

They are in nearly 20 schools in Sarasota County, and the groups or “huddles” are comprised mostly of students.

These groups are student led, teacher sponsored and FCA supported. That means that FCA plays a role in the ministry but mostly helps facilitate the meeting for students.

FCA is primarily looking for individual or church sponsors who can help them cover the cost of the food at these meetings. Meetings have upwards of several hundred students (praise God!) so the expense for these items is often high.

In addition, there are also speaking opportunities for some people who qualify, particularly for those who are already seasoned ministers.

There are no hoops for those who want to give. That can be done quickly and easily.

Given that the meetings are held on public school grounds, there are several “hoops” to go through the get credentialed to attend the meetings and serve in them.
