Salvador Cariaga, a missionary in the Philippines, has started non-profits such as Shepherd’s Hill Int. & Give a Goat Foundation, and Trash-to-Treasures. Shepherd's Hill aims to fight poverty through trade and empower the indigenous team through medical, socio-economic, and evangelistic ways. Give-a-Goat uses the gift of goats to impoverished villages for self-sufficiency. Work areas include Cebu (livelihood training, preacher training, surgeries, VBS), Compostela (farm and livelihood assistance, VBS), and Bogo City (children's home, agricultural and craft livelihood programs, surgeries, evangelistic programs). Disaster relief is also provided all over the southern Philippines.
