Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes

Each October our parish begins filling shoeboxes for children for a project called Operation Christmas Child, which is under the auspices of Samaritan’s Purse. The shoeboxes are filled with necessities, small games, items of personal hygiene, school supplies, etc. – as much as can fill a standard shoebox. The shoeboxes are delivered to a selected drop-off location where they are ultimately shipped by Samaritan’s Purse to underprivileged countries all over the world. As of 2014, 723 have been filled by our community and shipped all over the world.
