Mercy Mats for Homeless Sanctuary
Where: New Berlin, WI

Be the hands of Jesus and make Mercy Mats for MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary. Many hands are needed to create these mats made of plastic grocery bags. We need people to sort and flatten plastic bags, cut the bags into strips, and loop the strips together and roll into balls called plarn (plastic yarn). Those who can crochet will use the balls to make the mats. We have supplies, but you may bring your own bags, scissors and crochet supplies. Childcare is not provided; children/teenagers are welcome to help.
