Lenten Food Stamp Challenge

Where: 911 New Gulph Rd, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, USA
Shared by Lower Merion Baptist Church on
Inspired by the book "A Place at the Table" by Chris Seay, Lower Merion Baptist Church has participated in a Lenten Food Stamp Challenge since 2018. Those who choose to participate agree to limit their family's food spending to the food stamp limit for the month and a half of Lent and donate the difference to an anti-hunger charity. At its core, it is a way to understand how those who are less fortunate live and to identify with the poor.
