Compassionate Christmas has a rich history that dates back to the 1980’s when the Ballard family and foundational supporters of NCC wanted to come together, to provide vital “food baskets” to the our neighbors in need in the Memphis community. What started as a grassroots movement, with just a few people serving 500 families, soon grew to what it is today, over 300 volunteers helping to distribute 10,000 Christmas Food Boxes!
